Metal Plate Mono-Print Series:
Whilst marking the aluminium plates, I was attempting to translate an inherent inner turmoil that is met with an uncomfortable though necessary enlightenment. The negative space that protrudes the print is an intentional display of how optimism creeps in whether we’re willing to resonate with it or not. Together the two plates may be interpreted as a visceral portrayal of struggle that is overcome or rather lived alongside as acceptance. Not necessarily in how we must do better but instead allowing ourselves the freedom to accept what is and isn’t within our hands to change or control.
