As a Manchester based mixed media artist from Bradford, Yorkshire; my practice attempts to explore and translate a sublime feminine experience. I engage with motifs of control, vulnerability, and survival wherein I convey these ideas through natural vessels such as: animals and flowers. The subjects in turn act as a metaphor for both feminine expression and innate duality.  

Spanning across mediums like painting, printmaking, and 3D sculpture, I continue to materialize a collection that focuses on wild animals and intimacy; intending to portray their opposing identities. Alluring and merciless though endangered and sublime. I’m often engaged with current affairs and try to stay informed on issues concerning our environment and civil landscape. The merging of these concepts while seemingly irrelevant, are intrinsically intertwined. The reactionary and innate experiences of women throughout history parallel the disturbance being done to all. My practice explores the inner and outer predator while enlightening the act of vulnerability in the face of ongoing danger. 

Altogether my work aims to challenge traditional notions of power and fragility, inviting viewers to contemplate this tension and their own related experiences with it. By merging the vibrancy of nature with the subtleties of feminine identity, my practice seeks to translate this paradox of awe and menace. By weaving together personal narratives with social concerns, I comment on universal cycles of consumerism, apathy, and the profound dichotomies found in moments of surrender.
